Kiddie Academy of Abingdon

I love the fact that I have visual abilities to check on my child anytime of the day and know that she is safe and to see what she is doing throughout the day. I love that the teachers are so compassionate and attentive to my child. I love that the educational environment is warm, friendly and welcoming.

My children’s teachers are friendly and accommodating. Convenient hours for my childcare needs. Educational curriculum that keeps my three year old engaged and learning!

Kiddie Academy is a wonderful daycare for children. The teachers are amazing and so are the activities that they do every day. I feel like my child is learning all the time and becoming social with other children as well. I love the structure of it as well as the daily routines. I also love that I receive a daily report with pictures at the end of every day so I can keep in touch with my child learning!

As a parent and employee of Kiddie Academy, I have extremely high expectations of the care provided to my 4 yo and 1 yo each day. There are many great things about the academy but we are most impressed with the security, healthy food and above all else the teachers. Many times when I pick up my children they don't want to leave which just shows how much they enjoy their time at Kiddie Academy. Also, we can see noticeable language advancements in my 4 year old in the six months she's been there. I know without a doubt she will be fully prepared for Kindergarten next year. The only recommendation I have is for Kiddie Academy to provide more opportunities for me to discuss my childrens' progress with the teachers and what we can do to help our children advance. Other than that, keep up the good work!!!

Poor oversight from the corporate office. Director unprofessional and generally unavailable. Assistant director clearly overwhelmed with academy responsibilities. Lead teachers and assistants immature and poorly trained when handling difficult children. My child was injured and staff failed to contact me for 2 hours in hopes my child's injuries would get better. After 2 hours we were contacted and advised to pick up our child and take her for an xray. Director never addressed me to apologize for her injuries nor inquired how my child was after seeking medical attention. If you need to contact the academy, it takes several attempts to reach staff. Lots of bells and whistles, very little safe and professional care. We left the academy June 2018 after 10 months and would not recommend. **Several of the positive reviews regarding this place are from employees of the corporate office- any business that forces its employees to post positive reviews to boost enrollment should be a MAJOR red flag.**
